Greg Knott, an administrator for nearly two decades at the U of I Urbana-Champaign and a graduate of two U of I System universities (including UIS), has been appointed secretary of the Board of Trustees and the University. President Tim Killeen said, “Greg has seen the U of I system as a student and from a leadership role, and knows the power our universities hold to transform lives and drive progress. Coupled with his hands-on experience as a member of the Parkland College Board of Trustees, his unique perspective will serve the board and our universities well.” |

The University of Illinois Springfield and the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus Foundation (ILBCF) Speaker Series will discuss “Dismantling Systemic Racism through Education and Workforce Development Reform” during a Zoom virtual event from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7. The third session in the speaker series will focus on Pillar II of the Caucus’s policy pillars, which aims to reform education and workforce development by improving early childhood through adult learning. |
