The MA in Public Affairs Reporting is a 1-year on-ground program that provides students with an opportunity to specialize in news coverage of governmental affairs.
Internship opportunities for graduate students are available. The Graduate Public Service Internship program places students in state government positions in areas such as legislative staff, public information offices, multimedia centers and research offices to gain real-world experience. The internship provides a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. The GPSI program is available to students residing in the Springfield area.
