The Office of Web Services, in collaboration with a cross-sectional committee of university partners, has created a new, more streamlined approach to creating and maintaining university and unit-level policies online. A new UIS Policies website, uis.edu/policies, is intended to be a one-stop shop for university policies. The site is searchable by policy type, audience or key words. |
Gillian Harris of Hartsburg awarded a $14,000 scholarship from the University of Illinois Springfield

Gillian Harris of Hartsburg, a recent graduate of Hartsburg-Emden Jr-Sr High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $14,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over two years. At UIS, she will major in pre-nursing.The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of two years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.At Hartsburg-Emden Jr-Sr High School, she was a member of the Senior Beta Club. |
UIS baseball clinches spot in NCAA World Series for first time in program history

For the first time in program history, the University of Illinois Springfield baseball team will compete in the NCAA Division Two World Series. The Prairie Stars beat Quincy University in a doubleheader to punch their ticket to the Cary, North Carolina. "Now you have a real chance to go win it all," UIS head coach Ryan Copeland said. "You really do. You're one of eight teams. A good game here. Some luck here and there and you're fighting for a national championship. It's pretty cool to say out loud." |
