Ashley Hall named the UIS Employee of the Month for December 2022

Ashley Hall has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for December 2022. She is the director of the UIS Student Union. Hall’s nominator praises her for covering the workload of multiple vacant positions within the Student Union staff for more than a year and learning new skills to make sure work was completed. |
Banner Upgrade on Dec. 21

Banner will be upgraded on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 to incorporate year-end regulatory requirements along with several minor defect corrections. The upgrade will begin at 4:30 AM CST and is expected to be complete by 7:30 AM CST. Banner will not be brought completely down for this event; however, Banner Administrative Pages, BDM (attachments), Workflow, Chrome River, Eddie, and Amazon Business for Finance will be unavailable during the upgrade. In addition, Banner Self-Service, with the exception of Student Registration and Faculty Self-Service, will also be unavailable at this time. |

UIUC Graduate Student Conference Call for Abstracts

The College of Education at UIUC is holding the 2023 Graduate Student Conference on March 3, 2023. We are reaching out to invite the graduate students to share their work on the impact of Covid 19 on technology development, innovations, and implementation. As most of the schools turned to virtual learning during the covid-19 pandemic, we had to rely on technology for school and work. Students are welcome to share their work related to technology innovation and students’ learning or any other related work at the conference. |
UIS Speech and Debate Finishes the Semester at OATS 4 Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, IL (December 14, 2022) - UIS's Speech and Debate Team attended their fourth tournament of the 22-23 competition season. The Online Asynchronous Tournament Series (OATS) is a season long set of competitions hosted asynchronously by Southwest Minnesota State University. The OATS 4 tournament took place from December 5th through December 9th and had 49 teams from across the nation in attendance. |
