Thank you to all faculty and staff who registered for Friday’s Rise Professional Development Retreat. Below are three things to know to help support a successful event.

Tuesday, February 27, our Facilities & Services crews will be conducting a plumbing repair in the classroom side of Brookens Library, and water will be temporarily shut off from approximately 6:00 am to 9:00 am. The water shutoff will affect all restrooms on all floors of the classroom side of Brookens. Every effort will be made to keep the outage as brief as possible.

Your cooperation and patience during this period are greatly appreciated.

Facilities and Services 

As part of our ongoing security effort to protect users, an email rate limiting policy will go into effect February 28 for all employees.

The purpose of this policy is to prevent compromised accounts from sending mass emails to other users that might put additional accounts at risk.

Starting February 28, if an employee mailbox attempts to send more than 1000 emails per hour or 10,000 emails per day, the account will be locked for 24 hours while we investigate.

The University of Illinois Springfield presented awards for alumni achievement and distinguished service during the annual UIS Alumni Gala held at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum on Feb. 23, 2024.
