I attended UIS as a graduate student from 2001-2004, while also teaching full time at Athens Middle School.
Do you have any fond memories of your time at UIS you'd like to share?
During my time at UIS, I was able to form great relationships with my professors and fellow classmates.

HLC Visit Dates and Call for Subcommittee Members

Dear faculty and staff:
The University of Illinois Springfield gains its post-secondary school accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). In August 2018, UIS was reaccredited by the HLC through August 2028. UIS follows the open pathway for maintaining accreditation with HLC. During the 2027-28 academic year, UIS will submit its comprehensive evaluation materials and its Federal Compliance Review by Oct. 11, 2027. HLC will conduct a comprehensive evaluation with peer review and site visit on Nov. 8-9, 2027.

UIS Falls 81-73 to Tiffin at Midwest Region Crossover

The Illinois Springfield women's basketball team put together a strong first half but ultimately fell 81-73 to Tiffin on Saturday at the Midwest Region Crossover in Hillsdale, Mich. UIS forced 22 turnovers and turned them into 18 points, and four Prairie Stars reached double figures in the effort.
