The UIS 2018-2028 Strategic Compass guides the University’s planning, goal-setting and decision making through 2028.
In the fall of 2017, UIS Chancellor Susan Koch announced the initiation of the next strategic planning process at the University of Illinois Springfield with a goal of reaffirming and revitalizing its mission, vision, values and priorities.
Development of the Strategic Compass involved a collaborative approach and engaged the university community and external stakeholders. The Compass is intended to be used by all units to inspire the formulation of more specific tactical plans.
