UIS Men’s Cross Country Heads to Bradley Intercollegiate

The Illinois Springfield men's cross country team is set to participate in the Bradley Intercollegiate on Friday, Sept. 19. The event will take place at Detweiller Park in Peoria, Ill., with the men's 8K race scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.
The Prairie Stars will be fielding a partial squad for this meet, providing an opportunity for underclassmen and others on the team to gain valuable race experience. This strategic approach follows the team's recent success at the Prairie Stars Invitational, where newcomers to the team made a strong impact.

Prairie Stars’ Six-Match Winning Streak Halted by Northwest Missouri State

The Illinois Springfield volleyball team (6-2) saw its six-match winning streak come to an end on Thursday evening at TRAC, as Northwest Missouri State (6-2) earned a straight-set victory, 25-23, 25-14, 25-14. The Prairie Stars were limited to 21 kills on the night, while the Bearcats tallied 41.

The Illinois Springfield men's soccer team is ready for a full week of GLVC play that begins with Friday night's 7:30 p.m. homecoming matchup against longtime rival Quincy. The Prairie Stars then head to Kirksville, Mo., for a noon road contest at Truman State on Sunday.

Crane for Roof Work on FRH and LRH - Friday, Sept. 19

Greetings Campus Community, The roofing contractor will have a crane on site on Friday, Sept. 19 to remove roofing debris off of Founders Residence Hall. The crane will be positioned on the west side of Founders, just off Eliza Farnham Drive. The bus stop on that corner will remain open and accessible. The red rectangle on the included image indicates the approximate location for the crane. Please use caution if you need to travel near the residence hall. Construction zones and equipment placement areas will be marked to assist with navigation and ensure safety. |
