UIS Men’s Soccer Falls 2-0 at UMSL

The Illinois Springfield men's soccer team created several quality scoring chances but came up empty in a 2-0 road loss to Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday afternoon. The Prairie Stars move to 2-7-3 overall and 1-6-2 in the GLVC, while the Tritons improve to 3-3-5 and 2-2-4 in conference play.

Prairie Stars Push Hawks but Fall in Four Sets

The Illinois Springfield volleyball team pushed one of the GLVC's top programs on Saturday afternoon, taking a set off Rockhurst in a competitive 3-1 loss at TRAC. Set scores were 26-24, 25-12, 16-25, and 25-19, with UIS winning the third set in dominant fashion. The Prairie Stars move to 7-9 overall and 1-5 in GLVC play, while the Hawks remain unbeaten in conference action at 12-5, 5-0.

UIS Women’s Cross Country Navigates Competitive Field at Lewis Crossover

The Illinois Springfield women's cross country team posted a solid effort at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday, finishing 24th of 36 teams in one of the most competitive meets in NCAA DII cross country. The Prairie Stars recorded a top-five total time of 1:57:07, averaging 23:25 per runner, and a top-seven total of 2:47:49, with an average of 23:58, showing consistency but room for improvement in pack positioning.

UIS Men’s Cross Country Posts Strong Showing at Lewis Crossover

The UIS men's cross country team posted a strong performance at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday morning, finishing 15th in a competitive field of 37 teams. The Prairie Stars recorded a top-five total time of 2:06:21, averaging 25:16 per runner, reflecting consistency and depth across the lineup.
UIS outperformed nationally ranked No. 28 Biola and remained close to regional competitors including Walsh, Tiffin, and Michigan Tech—teams the Prairie Stars may contend with in November's regional championship.
