I am thrilled to share the amazing news that our university’s enrollment this semester is up 11 percent over Fall 2022 enrollment! This follows a promising trend in which we’ve seen increases in our enrollment numbers each semester for the past year compared to the same semester the prior year.

WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield will hold three Lunch & Learn Series events this fall. The series is presented by the UIS Alumni SAGE Society and the Illinois State Historical Society.

WHEN: Doors open 11 a.m. | Lunch 11:30 a.m. | Program 12-1 p.m.Sept. 13, Oct. 11 and Dec. 7

WHERE:    Illini Country Club, 1601 Illini Rd., Springfield

For a second year in a row, census numbers show that more students are attending the University of Illinois Springfield. After the first 10 days of classes, a total of 4,661 students are enrolled for Fall Semester 2023, an increase of 11% from 4,198 students in fall 2022.

Aaron Stewart has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for August 2023. He is the facilities business manager for UIS Facilities and Services. 

Stewart's nominator commends his work for demonstrating exceptional performance and his ability to handle an extensive workload with precision and efficiency. His knowledge of different programs and systems across campus makes him invaluable when assistance is needed.
