The UIS baseball team continued its series against Upper Iowa on Saturday in Fayette, Iowa, picking up a pair of wins in a doubleheader of seven-inning games. The Prairie Stars improved to 20-10 overall and 13-5 in GLVC play, solidifying their hold on second place in the conference standings. The series finale is scheduled for noon on Sunday. 

The Illinois Springfield men's golf team is set to compete at the Ken Partridge Invitational, hosted by Indianapolis at Purgatory Golf Club from Sunday through Tuesday.

The Illinois Springfield baseball team opened its series against Upper Iowa with authority on Friday afternoon, rolling to a 15-2 run-rule win to improve to 18-10 overall and 11-5 in GLVC play.

The Illinois Springfield women's track and field team competed at the Jim Vargo Invitational on Friday evening, with three runners earning top-10 finishes in the 5,000 meters, including Kaleigh Inniss. The remainder of the meet, including additional heats of the 1,500 and 5,000 meters on Saturday, was canceled due to forecasted inclement weather.
