Sangamon Experience and the Diversity Center at the University of Illinois Springfield will host two Black History Month events that are free and open to the public.

Two University of Illinois Springfield undergraduate students are working with Associate Professor of Environmental Studies Tih-Fen Ting to research factors affecting the winter survival of American kestrels, a type of bird that is experiencing population declines in North America.

Please be aware that Parking Lot E will be closed from early morning through 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 1 so that school children may safely enter the UIS Performing Arts Center for the Staley Class Acts performances of Freedom Flight.
