The University of Illinois Springfield is increasing its support for the Springfield community by creating a new downtown Innovation Center. This will be a place where collaboration happens and partnerships grow.
As one of the 15 hubs in the Illinois Innovation Network (IIN), the UIS Innovation Center will be designed as a space to drive innovation, economic growth and workforce development throughout Illinois. In particular, the UIS Innovation Center will cultivate diverse entrepreneurial ventures, foster policy and social change, develop talent, leverage collaboration and serve as a leader for inclusive innovation and economic development.
