In this event, led by Professor Hypatia Bolivar, participants will learn about an activity that asks students in a research methods course in psychology to compare the output of generative AI (CoPilot, Gemini) with a disciplinary research database (PsycINFO) for a basic search query. Discussion will focus on the activity's learning outcomes and its pros and cons. Participants will be encouraged to consider how it could be adapted for their disciplinary context.
