UIS Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon helps host Fulton-Mason Eagle Day Feb. 7

The annual Fulton-Mason Eagle Day, hosted by the University of Illinois Springfield Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon and other partners, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 7 at multiple locations along the Illinois River in Fulton and Mason counties. The free public event offers visitors opportunities to learn about bald eagles and regional wildlife through live raptor programs, hands-on science activities, hiking and wildlife viewing. |

UIS Women’s Basketball Begins Two-Game Road Swing with Rivalry Matchup at Quincy

The UIS women's basketball team heads out on a two-game road trip this week, beginning with a BOS Rivalry Cup showdown at Quincy on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. in Quincy, Ill. The Prairie Stars will then travel to Kirksville, Mo., for a Saturday afternoon matchup at Truman State, tipping off at 1:00 p.m.

UIS Men’s Basketball Opens Two-Game Road Swing at Quincy, Visits Truman State Saturday

The UIS men's basketball team, unbeaten in GLVC play, heads out for a two-game road swing this week beginning with a BOS Rivalry Cup matchup at Quincy on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. UIS will then travel to Kirksville, Mo., to face Truman State on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
Thursday's contest marks the lone regular-season meeting between UIS and Quincy, making it the Prairie Stars' only opportunity this season to reclaim the BOS Cup, the rivalry trophy supported by Bank of Springfield.
