We are excited to announce that the Good Idea Fund is available again this year! This initiative offers one-time (non-recurring) funds to support innovative ideas from UIS staff and faculty. If you have a project that could make a positive impact on our University, we want to hear from you! We invite a wide range of ideas that can create broad impact. Whether it's a new program, a research project, or an initiative to improve campus life, we encourage you to apply and share your vision with us.

The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present “A Radical Turn,” an exhibition featuring the work of artist, curator and anti-war veteran Aaron Hughes. The exhibition opens Oct. 13 and runs through  Nov. 20, 2025.

The Office of Strategic Communications will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Fall 2025 for all staff or faculty. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn’t had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken are encouraged to attend.
