Illinois Springfield women's basketball (4-7, 1-3 GLVC) fell at Wisconsin-Parkside (5-5, 0-2 GLIAC), 81-72, after climbing out of a deep first-quarter deficit and repeatedly cutting the margin down the stretch. UIS forced 19 turnovers and scored 16 points off those opportunities but could not fully erase Parkside's control. |

The Illinois Springfield men's basketball team returns to action Wednesday evening in Owensboro, Kentucky, with a non-conference matchup against Kentucky Wesleyan. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. CT and opens a three-game stretch of December non-conference play for the Prairie Stars.

UIS enters the contest riding a four-game winning streak to open Great Lakes Valley Conference play. Key league victories include an 86-76 road win at Missouri-St. Louis and a 63-58 home victory over McKendree.
