University cybersecurity professionals and leadership continue to evaluate the risk associated with bringing Canvas at back online for the UIS community. Decisions will continue throughout the day and updates will be provided.

Users may hear that Canvas is available. If you notice that the Canvas system becomes available, please do not log in or engage in the platform until you receive an official campus communication stating that the platform is safe to use.

Users should also be cautious about Two-Factor Authentication (2FA/Duo) pushes. If you receive a 2FA/Duo prompt you did not request, deny it and contact ITS Client Services (techsupport@uis.edu). Only approve a 2FA/Duo request if YOU just tried to log in.

As additional information becomes available, we will post updates our ITS website.

Faculty: You will be receiving an email from COLRS with information related to grading and student submissions.

We will send an update to the university community no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, May 8th.
