Feeling Ducky? Ready to go duck wild?
Get ready to put your ducktective skills to work with the UIS campus-wide duck hunt! From Monday, October 27, at 8:00 AM through Friday, October 31, at 3:00 PM, the hunt is on—unless all the ducks are rescued sooner. Winners will be announced after 3:00 PM on Halloween (because what is spookier than a duck with a QR code?).
How to play
- Look for rubber ducks hidden outdoors around campus; each duck has a QR code and a number or symbol attached to its neck.
- Scan the QR code and enter your name and email on the event spreadsheet to log your find.
- Each recorded duck equals one entry in the prize drawing. A duck with a star symbol is an instant winner.
- Keep your duck to verify your prize at pickup.
Why you should join
- It’s a fun way to get outdoors, stretch your legs, and explore campus during Walktober.
- Prizes increase the thrill, and every duck you find raises your chances to win great prizes like a gift card or UIS swag.
- You get to keep the ducks you rescue.
- Team up with friends for a faster hunt and shared laughs. The Quack Pack, anyone???
Share your finds
- Snap a photo of your duck and post on Instagram with #UISFeelingDucky so we can follow your adventure. We would love to see what these ducks get up to!
- Tag the event and tell a short tale of your duck’s daring escape (or lazy nap spot).
