Leah Bueso

Dr. Leah Bueso, Assistant Professor in the School of Education, will explore technological options for implementing restorative practices in online courses. Restorative practices are typically conducted in person and restorative circles, a hallmark of restorative practices, requires that participants gather in a physical circle in order to create an egalitarian space that encourages social and emotional connection and development. Dr. Bueso will investigate synchronous technologies and methods to simulate restorative circles for the School of Education’s online students to ensure meaningful access to this important teaching practice.
