When you add the Assignment-type content to your Canvas course, any of these can be transformed into a Google Assignment. In order to utilize Google Assignments, create your assignment like normal. When you get to the Submission Type field in edit mode, follow these steps:

To update personal information, biographic information, or photo visibility in the UIS Directory users start by navigating to themselves in the directory.

Once they have located themselves in directory, scroll to the bottom of the information and click the link Edit Employee link.

Canvas is a web-based course management learning system that UIS instructors can use to organize course content. Canvas allows instructors and students 24/7 access to their courses.

A Canvas course site is created for each course section taught at UIS -- online, blended, hyflex, or on campus. Canvas has an easy-to-navigate interface through a web browser and via a mobile app. There is a separate app for instructors and students.

Courses will sometimes stay active on your Canvas Dashboard after a semester ends, causing them to show up on the course list and dashboard long after they are finished. While you might not be able to remove courses directly, they can be hidden from the dashboard by following the steps below:

1. First, click Courses in the menu along the left side of the screen.

Final grade submission deadlines are listed on the academic calendar for each term. Full final grade submission instructions are available in the Other Events/Dates section at the bottom of the Office of Registration website. Find the "grades due" events to view the instructions.

1. Go to the Enterprise Self-Service system.
2. Click on UIS.
3. Log in with your UIS NetID and Password with dual authentication. This is the same information that you use to log into UIS Canvas.
4. In the Faculty & Advisor Services square, click on the Class Rosters link.
5. Then click on the course subject or number of enrollments to view the list of students in your course.

Classrooms in the University Hall building have been outfitted with technology to support a variety of teaching modalities. Instructors have the ability to use the in-room technology to project content from the primary display for students in the classroom to view while utilizing the second monitor at the instructor station for content that they do not want to share with the entire classroom.

Many classrooms computers have document cameras installed in them. The document cameras are connected directly to in-room computer and are used to show physical items like passages from a book, a coin, rocks, or anything that is smaller and hard for students to see from their seats. The Class List page lets you view your class roster(s). It also includes links to the Course Details card, Class Details card, buttons in the top right to Export or Print, and an email option. We do not recommend using a mobile device to access Class Lists/Rosters as the delivered product has reduced functionality for viewing and emailing students.
