The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) is a premier public university that provides students with a high-quality liberal arts education, exceptional public affairs opportunities, and outstanding professional preparation programs. The Office of Admission at UIS works with a network of educational agents globally. Locally based, these agents and counselors work directly with prospective students assisting them and their families through the university selection process, assisting with applications, applying for visas, and assisting students prepare to study abroad. Agents are trained by UIS staff to gain knowledge of our academic programs, campus culture, and application process. Paramount in UIS partnerships is the interests of the student and together we assist students in making informed choices for their academic future.

UIS is an institutional member of the American International Recruitment Council. The American International Recruitment Council (AIRC) is a membership association of accredited U.S. post-secondary institutions and certified student recruitment agencies which develops standards of ethical practice and provides a certification framework for agencies engaged in student recruitment. As an AIRC member institution, UIS subscribes both to the AIRC Standards and Rights and Responsibilities which may be found in the AIRC Certification and Process Standards Manual (click here for AIRC’s mission and vision).
