Dolan Dalpoas, University of Illinois Alumni Achievement Award - Dalpoas, who earned a master’s degree in public health from UIS in 2000, has spent more than three decades advancing healthcare in central Illinois. He currently serves as senior vice president and chief community impact and philanthropy officer for Memorial Health, overseeing rural hospitals, health foundations, patient experience and community health initiatives. He previously spent nearly 20 years as president and CEO of Lincoln Memorial Hospital, where he helped lead the development of a replacement hospital and championed community health initiatives focused on nutrition and access to healthy foods.

Ted Mims, University of Illinois Distinguished Service Award - Mims is a professor emeritus whose 25-year career at UIS helped transform its computer science program. After joining the university in 1990, he helped grow the program from approximately 70 students to more than 1,300 majors, secured millions of dollars in National Science Foundation grants and advanced UIS cybersecurity education. His work also helped UIS earn national recognition as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education.

Jacqueline Newman, University of Illinois Alumni Humanitarian Award - Newman is a three-time UIS graduate who earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from the university. As CEO of the Springfield Housing Authority, she has worked to expand and preserve affordable housing and strengthen housing opportunities throughout the region. She also served for four years as CEO of the Peoria Housing Authority, where she helped lead the creation of more than 140 affordable housing units. Her career also includes extensive state and national professional, civic and community service.

Dana Goodrum, University of Illinois Loyalty Award for Exceptional Alumni Service - Goodrum earned a bachelor’s degree in political studies in 2005 and a master’s degree in public administration in 2008 from UIS and was a member of the inaugural Capital Scholars Honors Program class. As a student, she helped found the Blue Crew student spirit organization and has continued serving UIS through alumni panels, volunteer leadership and as vice chair of the UIS Professional Networking Group. Beyond UIS, Goodrum is an author, consultant, foster parent and founder of Fostering Faith Inc., a nonprofit supporting foster families.

Esther Mayfong Lam, University of Illinois Loyalty Award for Exceptional Alumni Service - Lam earned a bachelor’s degree in history from UIS in 1996 and a master’s degree in communication in 2004. A longtime UIS volunteer and supporter, she helped establish the UIS Alumni SAGE Society’s Lunch and Learn Lecture Series and supported programs connected to Sangamon Auditorium. Lam and her husband, Wilfred, also established the Wilfred and Esther Lam Pre-Nursing Endowed Scholarship and have supported NPR Illinois, Brookens Library and the UIS Performing Arts Center.

Savannah Brannan, University of Illinois Springfield Rising Star Award - Brannan earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from UIS before completing a doctorate in pharmacology and neuroscience at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She now serves as a clinical neurophysiologist with SpecialtyCare, working in collaboration with Vanderbilt University Medical Center to provide specialized support during deep brain stimulation procedures for patients with neurological movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease. While at UIS, Brannan was also a standout scholar-athlete in cross country, earning conference academic and athletic honors.
