As we welcome our new and returning residents for the fall move-in, please be aware that several traffic and parking adjustments will be in place on Thursday, August 20th to keep the process safe and efficient. Please review the details below and plan your travel around campus accordingly.

Road Closures

To keep the move-in process safe and streamlined given the increased foot traffic around the west-side residential spaces, the following roads will be closed to the campus community from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20th:

• Vachel Lindsay Drive at 11th Street
• Vachel Lindsay Drive at Eliza Farnham Drive
• University Drive at Eliza Farnham Drive

Please use Ernest Hemingway Drive and Richard Wright Drive to access parking lots during this timeframe.

Residents of West Campus at Foxglove Court and Pennyroyal Court may access those parking lots using 11th Street and the first parking lot entrance on Vachel Lindsay Drive.

Lot Closure

Parking Lot I North and Lot I South will be closed to campus for parking.

On this date only, use of parking Lot F as an alternate parking lot is acceptable.

SMTD Reduced Bus Service

Due to the above road closures, the regular bus stops on campus will not be available.

SMTD will have temporary stops from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Eliza Farnham Drive, between Ernest Hemingway Drive and Parking Lot C-North.

Please plan accordingly, as SMTD bus service will be limited.
