Connecting your University-owned UIS macOS computer to a Ricoh Device

Installing the Campus Print queue on your UIS owned macOS computer begin with downloading the Ricoh Print driver from the Ricoh support site. Once you download the driver run the installer following the prompts.

  1. Open macOS System Settings [ → System Settings]
  2. Once the System Settings are open scroll to the bottom of the list in the left menu and choose Printers & Scanners

  3. Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax... to open the Add Printer window
  4. In the Add Printer window right click on the toolbar icons and choose Customize Toolbar to show additional toolbar options

  5. Drag the Advanced toolbar icon up next to the Windows icon and click Done

  6. Next click the Advanced tool and choose/enter the following once all of the fields match click Add:
    • Type: Windows printer via spoolss
    • Device: Another Device
    • URL: smb://uisnxds/ricohsecureprint
    • Name: RicohSecurePrint
    • Location: <blank>
    • Use: RICOH IM C3500 PS [This is the driver installed prior to beginning the Add Printer process]​​​​

  1. The UIS Campus Printing Service is now ready to use on macOS
