Dear University Community,

The University and the union representing tenured and tenure-track faculty continue to engage in active negotiations. Today, the parties met for 4.5 hours, working through open issues in good faith. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 9.

It is our understanding that some members of the union will continue to engage in a work stoppage. We encourage students to keep attending classes unless you have been notified that they have been canceled. It is the University’s expectation that classes taught by faculty who are not members of this union will proceed as scheduled. In addition, some faculty who are members of this union may opt not to participate in a work stoppage.
