Tell us about your personal and professional journey.

I’m shaped by three lanes: service, music, and education. I came up seeing how much opportunity changes when someone has the right support and the right information. DJing taught me how to read a room, connect across backgrounds, and build energy and community. Education and community work taught me how to turn that connection into outcomes—skills, confidence, and real options. That’s what led me to the work I do today: creating experiences and programs that motivate people and also give them practical tools to grow.

Who or what has played a significant role in influencing or mentoring you?

My parents, Lawrence and Gladys Taylor, have been my foundation. They didn’t just tell me what mattered—they lived it. They taught me discipline and accountability, but also compassion and community. Watching them handle responsibilities, keep their word, and treat people with respect is a big reason I’m so focused on service, excellence, and building opportunities for others.

What accomplishments or contributions are you most proud of—professionally or personally?

Honestly, my proudest accomplishment isn’t a title or an award—it’s being a decent, present husband, father, and grandfather. Showing up consistently, loving my family well, and being someone they can count on is the most fulfilling contribution I’ve made.

What goals, projects, or aspirations are you excited about for the future?

I’m excited about building a future that’s strong at home and impactful in the community. Personally, my goal is to keep showing up for my family and creating a legacy they’re proud of. Professionally, I’m focused on growing my work at the intersection of education, motivation, and community engagement—expanding programs that help people gain real skills, confidence, and opportunities.

What advice would you share with other emerging professionals who want to make an impact in their field or community?

Make impact by being consistent and being connected. Don’t chase attention—chase excellence and service. Find a real need, show up with humility, keep your word, and keep learning. Your reputation will open doors faster than your resume, and your relationships will carry your work further than your talent alone.

Outside of work, what activities, interests, or passions keep you inspired and grounded?

Outside of work, my biggest grounding force is my family—date nights with my wife, quality time with the kids, and little mini-vacations whenever we can fit them in. And honestly, I’m a big fan of storytelling too—comics and story-driven video games. They help me decompress, stay creative, and come back refreshed.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know as we celebrate you as a Promising Prairie Star?

This honor means a lot to me, because it represents more than an award—it reflects values I try to live by: consistency, service, and integrity. I’m most proud of being present for my family, and I try to bring that same commitment into my work—building people up, creating positive experiences, and helping others believe in what’s possible. I’m thankful to be celebrated in this way.
