Reminders

Annual Evaluation Season

Annual evaluation season will begin on April 1, 2026, for Civil Service and Academic Professional employees. Evaluations are based on a review period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Evaluations are a great time to review job responsibilities, give feedback to employees on their performance, and to set goals for the upcoming year. We will be hosting an Employee Development Series training on March 31, 2026 via Teams to demonstrate how to use the online evaluation form and give tips on how to give a good evaluation. It is important to note that supervisors must start the annual evaluation process. This year, evaluations will be due to Human Resources by June 5, 2026.

Student Employee Annual Evaluation

As performance evaluation season approaches, please remember that student employees value constructive feedback. While evaluations are not required, they are considered a best practice and help support student growth and development. The evaluation form can be found in the Student Employment Supervisor Resources Box folder. If you do not have access to this folder, please email studentemployment@uis.edu to be added.

Student Employment Training

Student Employment is in the process of eliminating paper checklists. As we transition to an electronic checklist workflow, we ask that everyone involved with hiring student employees attend a training. This is an in-person interactive training that will require you to bring your laptop and last approximately 45 minutes. Please email studentemployment@uis.edu for the current training session schedule.
