Construction and Project Updates

PAC Plumbing Project - Water service to Tower 3 will be restored and all facilities will reopen on Friday, March 6. With this milestone completed, the project will then shift to Tower 2, where water service will be shut off and facilities closed on Monday, March 9.

UHB Classroom Lighting Upgrade - Our electricians continue to replace old light fixtures with new LED flat panels. At the current pace, we expect the project to be completed in time for the Fall semester.

Library Commons - On March 3, structural steel was delivered, and installation began. Tune in to the livestream to watch all the action!

Upcoming Construction-Related Closures

PAC Building Closure - Beginning Wednesday, May 13, the building will be closed as the project work shifts to replacing the water main, which requires full water shut-off to PAC. The closure may last up to 4 weeks. Individual units are coordinating alternative work arrangements for staff. Stay tuned for updates as we approach May.

Student Union Sidewalk Closure - As part of the Library Commons construction project, the sidewalk on the east side of the Student Union (between the Union and Lot J) will be closed to allow crews to complete required utility work for the new building. Work will begin on Wednesday, May 13, and the area will be closed to pedestrians, deliveries, and waste removal until approximately June 17.
