Through the Student Philanthropy Program, students lead efforts to establish an annual Student Body Gift. Students experience philanthropy first-hand, learning how their student experiences are made possible by private support while gaining professional development and interpersonal skills.

The Student Philanthropy Program's objectives are to:

  • Promote and increase giving among the student body
  • Educate students about the transformative power of philanthropy and their role in sustaining the UIS legacy
  • Develop a pipeline of engaged students

UIS students are urged to make a contribution to the Student Body Gift. UIS students voted to direct 2025-2026 student donations to a scholarship. The scholarship will benefit a UIS student during the 2026-2027 academic year.
