What’s something you’re really proud of?
One accomplishment I am especially proud of is graduating in December 2025 with my Master of Business Administration. Earning my MBA was a long-term personal and professional goal, and I am grateful for the opportunity to complete it at the University of Illinois Springfield.
Do you have a travel bucket list? What’s at the top?
Visiting all 50 states is at the top of my travel bucket list and has been a goal of mine for many years. I have visited 27 states so far and will add another this summer when my family and I travel to California to attend a NASCAR race in San Diego at a naval base. That trip will bring my total to 28 states. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places!
What’s your favorite season of the year and why?
Summer is my favorite season. I enjoy the sunshine and spending time outdoors, whether it’s boating with my family, playing sports, walking my dog, working on landscaping projects or attending outdoor country concerts with friends. Summer offers a great balance of activity, relaxation and quality time with the people I care about most.
Do you consider yourself a morning bird or a night owl?
I am a morning person — 100%. During the week, I wake up at 4 a.m. and am at the gym by 4:30 a.m. Starting my day early helps me feel focused and productive, knowing I’ve completed my workout before most people are awake. It is a nonnegotiable part of my routine and sets the tone for the rest of my day.
I read a book a while back that challenged how people typically spend their evenings, often doing things that do not support their goals, such as mindlessly scrolling on their phones. That shift in perspective made waking up earlier feel easier and more intentional. Once it gets dark, my energy and productivity naturally wind down, so early mornings are the perfect fit for me.
