Psychology Scholarships
Ruth A. Hoffman Scholarship
Created by William Hoffman in memory of his late wife. This $1,000 scholarship is available to psychology majors who grew up in a town with up to 25,000 residents.
Dr. Randy Kamphaus Scholarship
Created by Dr. Randy Kamphaus, a Sangamon State University graduate with an M.A. in psychology. This $1,000 scholarship is available for a psychology major who is planning a future career in serving the mental health needs of youth and who has demonstrated financial need.
College of Health, Science, & Technology Scholarships
Jorge A. Bolívar Memorial Scholarship
Created by Dr. Hypatia Bolívar and her brother, Martí Bolívar, in memory of their father. This $1,000 scholarship is available for any undergraduate student in the College of Health, Science and Technology. Recipients should be seniors who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.4.

What can I do with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology?
Many with a Bachelor's Degree find work in areas such as administrative support, public affairs, education, sales, business, health, biological sciences, and more!
What can I do with a Master's Degree in Psychology?
While UIS does not offer a Master's Degree in Psychology, our Bachelor's program helps prepare students who wish to go on to graduate school. Those who earn their Master's Degree in Psychology may go on to work in areas such as school and I/O psychology, counseling, or testing and measurement.
What can I do with a Doctorate in Psychology?
While UIS does not offer a Doctorate Degree in Psychology, our Bachelor's program helps prepare students who wish to go on to graduate school. Those who earn their Doctorate in Psychology may go on to work as Clinical Psychologists in hospitals, outpatient clinics, community health centers, or as research psychologists in academia or industry settings.
