The Digital Accessibility Sprints are a structured, collaborative initiative led by the Office of Digital Accessibility (ODA) to enhance digital accessibility across university departments and programs. Each sprint cycle runs for approximately eight weeks and provides a dedicated space for departments to work closely with the Digital Accessibility Remediation Team (DART).
Typically, all departments within a unit participate in the sprints simultaneously, allowing for coordinated progress and shared learning.
During the sprint cycle, teams work together to:
- Remediate digital content such as documents, videos, presentations, online courses, and webpages
- Prioritize content using the DART triage system
- Evaluate third-party content for accessibility
- Develop long-term sustainability plans tailored to each department or program
Sprint focus | Weeks | Key Activities |
---|---|---|
Sprint 0: Planning & Setup | 0 | Kickoff meeting, define scope, assign roles, set up tools |

This initiative supports the university’s commitment to inclusivity and ensures compliance with federal digital accessibility standards.
