We have Bocce ball courts on campus!

We’d like to offer a summer lunch league for UIS employees. Yes, it’s a bit warm outside, but it’s not a game that takes a lot of energy. It's a game that's a lot of fun.

A team only consists of two people, but we’re encouraging departments to sign up. That way, you can have people cheer you on, or you can take turns, or if someone is on vacation, someone else plays. This is how it will work:

• A department can sign up as many teams as it’d like.
• Games will occur at noon at Rec Park. (It is possible to eat and play at the same time.)
• Teams will play one to two times per week, Monday through Friday.
• Games will be scheduled the week of July 14 through the week of August 11.
• The balls and instruction will be provided. Info can be found at BOCCE BALL Game Rules - How to Play Bocce.
• Register your team by emailing campusrec@uis.edu and providing the names and emails of your team members.
• Games will begin next week, but we will also allow registration through July 15 (for those on vacation this week).
• This is a great way to get out of your office during lunch and meet some other people across campus.
• Winners receive the coveted UIS Intramural Champion shirt.
