Bio:

Jason has more than two decades of work experience in various industries. Jason has worked the majority off his career in the private sector. He has a decade of experience in finance. Jason transitioned to more technical roles and has spent a decade in IT positions supporting various industries in both the private and public sectors. Jason completed a graduate internship with an environmental lobby group in IL. Jason also worked for the ILEPA as a fellow evaluating renewable energy siting and supporting the Environmental Justice department as well as the Office of Energy

Currently, Jason works for UIS in a technology support position. Jason’s work varies from high level system administration to front line desktop support. Jason helps evaluate policies relevant to his department while optimizing workflows and implementing technologies to improve efficiency and reliability. Jason actively seeks opportunities to contribute positively to UIS, which means involvement in everything from AI Policy to Customer Service initiatives.

Research Interests:

The intersection of technology and environmental policy. Jason uses new tools and methods to explore solutions to environmental issues through mixed methods approaches. Using his significant breadth of experience Jason contributes novel solutions and viewpoints not considered from more specialized stakeholders.
