Table Visits

Table visits are an opportunity for us here at UIS Peoria to share information about what we offer here at UIS, especially for transfer students attending ICC. This is a great chance to meet us here at the UIS Peoria office and learn what we can do for you! Below are the dates, times, location and campus that we will be on the corresponding day.

Note: Some days will be held on the East Peoria Campus, and others will be held on the North Peoria Campus. Please double-check the times and campus location. Open houses are another way for us to connect with the students that attend ICC & those that are attending UIS and are in the Peoria area. We hold our annual open houses typically nearing the end of the semester. We offer different types of games, goodies, snacks, and comradery to connect with others than may also attend while learning more about what we can do for you!

Events at Illinois Central College (East Peoria Campus)

University of Illinois Day Transfer Fair

Connect with representatives from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield during this on-campus transfer fair. Learn about transfer pathways, ask questions about admissions and programs, and pick up helpful materials and resources to support your next steps after ICC. This is a great opportunity to explore whether the University of Illinois could be the right fit for you.

Addison Hishon: Folds and Fractures Gallery Talk

Join us for a gallery talk with artist Addison Hishon as part of the exhibition Folds and Fractures. Hishon will discuss their mixed media practice, with a focus on glass as a material that reflects fragility, transformation, and the complexities of the human condition.

Sangam: A Confluence of Indian Classical Rhythm and Dance

Sangam brings together rhythm, movement, and purpose through Indian classical arts. The evening begins with student performances in Kathak dance and Tabla, highlighting dedication, discipline, and artistic growth.

The program also features guest artists who are masters of Indian classical traditions, offering an inspiring cultural experience. Proceeds from the concert support the Center for Prevention of Abuse, using art to strengthen and uplift the local community.

Seating is general admission. Tickets are $20 and children age four and under may attend free when seated on a ticket holder’s lap.

The Magical Music of Harry Potter

Experience the most enchanting music from the Harry Potter films performed live by the Magical Film Orchestra. This family-friendly concert features scores by John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper, and Alexandre Desplat, plus magical illusions and a special guest from the movies. Join us for the Theatre and Dance Showcase, a vibrant end-of-semester celebration sponsored by the Arts and Behavioral Sciences Department. Students from the Theatre and Dance programs will present original and course-related work, highlighting their creativity, skill, and artistic growth. Admission is free and open to the public.
