UIS Students attend NEA Minority and Women's Leadership Seminar

Corinna Thomas, an elementary education major with endorsements in ESL and LBS1, was invited by the Illinois Aspiring Educators State Chapter to attend the National Education Association’s Minority and Women’s Leadership Training Seminar to Advance Racial and Social Justice in St. Louis on January 23-25, 2026.

Corinna serves as the secretary and president-elect of UIS’s Aspiring Educators Chapter, which was established last spring. She was one of seven pre-service Aspiring Ed educators from Illinois who attended the conference.
