The NCAA Division II East Regional gets underway Monday morning in Findlay, Ohio, with 18 teams and six individuals competing for a berth at the NCAA Championships.

UIS golfer Elaine Grant will represent the Prairie Stars at the regional, competing as an individual qualifier in her fourth NCAA regional appearance.

The competition format has been adjusted due to weather conditions. The event will now consist of 36 holes played in a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. ET on Monday, with the final 18 holes played as tee times on Tuesday, unless weather or course conditions require a delay the event into Wednesday.

All competitors will complete the full 54 holes of play. At the conclusion of the regional, the top four teams and the top two individuals not on advancing teams will move on to the NCAA Division II Championships.

The national championship field will then compete May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where 98 participants will vie for the national title.

Grant enters the East Regional competing against a strong national field in Findlay, Ohio, with a spot at the NCAA Championships on the line across 54 holes of play.
