The UIS Athletic Department is celebrating 15 years of NCAA Division II membership during the 2025-26 academic year, highlighting the growth, achievements, and standout individuals who have shaped the Prairie Stars' DII era.

As part of the celebration, UIS Athletics will recognize 15 standout teams and 15 standout student-athletes who have defined the program's first decade and a half at the Division II level. Beginning this week, UIS will unveil one featured team and one featured student-athlete each week, honoring the accomplishments, championship moments, and legacy-building performances that elevated Prairie Stars Athletics.

The campaign will shine a spotlight on excellence across all UIS sports—championship teams, record-setting seasons, major award winners, and the individuals who helped establish UIS as a competitive NCAA Division II program.

This series reflects not only past success but also the growth and momentum that continue to define Prairie Stars Athletics. The first honorees, in chronological order, will be announced later this week on uisprairiestars.com and on the @UISAthletics social media accounts.
