The Illinois Springfield women's golf team will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Golf East Regional this Monday through Wednesday at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich., hosted by Grand Valley State University. The 54-hole event features 18 teams and six additional individuals.

Prairie Stars Lineup
UIS brings a veteran lineup to the postseason: All-GLVC performer Elaine Grant, Lia Rody, Sara Prieto, Ira Joshi, and Isabelle Segal.

Last Time Out
The Prairie Stars advanced to medal/match play at the GLVC Championships last weekend as the No. 4 seed, falling 4-1 to top-seeded UMSL.

• Grant earned All-GLVC honors for the second straight year, finishing fourth (72-74-81–227).
• Rody posted a solid second round and finished at 243 (82-78-83).
• Prieto tied for 32nd (80-84-85–247).
• Joshi tied for 41st (80-86-85–251), and
• Segal tied for 52nd, improving each round (92-82-83–275).

In its last NCAA East Regional appearance in 2024, UIS placed 14th out of 15 teams. Elaine Grant advanced to nationals as an individual. 

What's at Stake
The top five teams and top two individuals not on the advancing teams will move on to the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships, May 13–17 in Boulder City, Nevada.
