What Moves the Dead by Kingfisher by T. Kingfisher
“This was my first dive into the horror genre and it really inspired me to keep seeking more
horror reads! The plot is a take on Edgar Allen Poe's Fall of the House of Usher. The atmosphere
is wonderfully dark and gloomy, and you can feel the characters navigating through this
strange, gray world, haunted by a "curse" while also trying to discover the truth of what is
happening. It's a short read and perfect for a cozy afternoon.” — Overbooked Book Club

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
In this exhilarating novel, two friends—often in love, but never lovers—come together as
creative partners in the world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy,
tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality.
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
“Haymitch Abernathy is a 16-year-old who gets involved with the Hunger Games and has a goal
to sabotage the Capital. He tries his best to survive the dangerous arena environment elites
have created for their entertainment. He forms an alliance with another tribute named Ampert
Latier.” — Overbooked Book Club Member
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
“I like the science-fiction genre and thought that the characters, especially the main character's
motivations were well developed.” — Overbooked Book Club Member
Slewfoot by Brom
“I love the characters. I relate to Abiatha and seeing how her character evolves throughout the
book is almost cathartic. I love folklore, folk horror, and witchcraft themes and this book excels
in all those genres. Also the art Brom did for this book and does for all his books is beautiful and
adds so much to the book.” — Overbooked Book Club Member
Global Examination by Mu Su Li
“I liked how complex the worldbuilding was and the mind-blowing plot twists, especially with
the characters' backstories and unlikely connections”. — Overbooked Book Club Member
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
“It has been really interesting to see how this childhood favorite series has expanded. I love
learning more about the character Haymitch and his experience in the Hunger Games!
Dystopian fiction has also always been a fave of mine”. — Overbooked Book Club Member
