Artworks in the Art & Artifacts Collection at the University of Illinois Springfield, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, decorative arts, and miscellaneous objects, are offered to UIS faculty and staff through an intra-campus loan program for display in your office!

To see what is available, visit the database, hit the dark blue button with three dots on it next to the search magnifying icon. Select Advanced Search (items only) and in the search for keywords box type: available for loan. This will show you all the items currently available for loan (some are already on loan and other live in a permanent location).

All physical dimensions are listed in order of width x height (x depth when appropriate) in inches.

To borrow a work of art, email Director of Visual Arts Brytton Bjorngaard with the citation from the collection site for the work you are interested in, example: George Colin, “[Untitled],” UIS Art & Artifacts Collection, accessed September 8, 2022, https://uisartcollection.omeka.net/items/show/604.” If it is still available, you will be sent a loan form to complete.

Reach out to Co-Chairs Brytton Bjorngaard, Director of Visual Arts, & Lisa Whelpey, Associate Vice Chancellor for Development, if you have any questions.
