The Survey Research Office (SRO), located within the Center for State and Policy Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield, offers a full range of survey and data management services, and has a long history of providing applied research services to state and local governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations, and units of UIS. The office has particular strengths in all aspects of survey research (from questionnaire design to analysis), conducting focus groups and in-depth interviews, and program evaluation. Some of our current and previous clients include Hospital Sisters Health Systems, the American Lung Association, the City of Springfield, the Illinois Department of Public Health, the United Way of Central Illinois, the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln, and The Illinois Department of Transportation.  We invite you to learn more about our research and services by exploring the website or by contacting us.

SRO is a charter member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) Transparency Initiative. As a Transparency Initiative member, the Office is committed to holding up the goal of transparency in research and to conducting research in conformance with AAPOR’ s code of ethics. The Office is also affiliated with the Association of Academic Survey Research Organizations (AASRO). AASRO members are committed to advancing the goals of the academic survey research center community and the social and behavioral sciences generally.
