For Students

Student Travel Awards

The Social Science Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) is offering a limited number of travel grants, up to $200 each, for undergraduate students presenting the results of research that they have conducted at a regional or national, discipline-specific meeting during the academic year 2014-2015. Award recipients are required to acknowledge CUR for support of their travel in their talk or poster. After the meeting, a brief report about the experience is expected. Minority students are encouraged to apply. UIS Psychology students are qualified for this award. Contact your faculty advisor for more information.

Student Focus

PSYclubPsychology Club is open to all students at UIS. The mission of the club is to advance students’ professional development through research, fundraising, and volunteering with others on campus and in the community.  Many students in Psychology Club are also members of Psi Chi, an international honors society in psychology, as a result of their high academic achievements.  This awesome photo is from the now annual ‘Penny Wars’ pie in the face contest.  If you would like more information, contact Trenton Adams, the the Psychology Club President.
