Marcellus Leonard, associate professor of English, brings a caring, personable, people-centered approach to the Ombuds Office. A veteran of nearly 15 years of retail store management and 12 years service at UIS, Marcellus currently heads the English Department Program and is a faculty member in the Center for Teaching and Learning. In these capacities he has had extensive problem solving experience. Marcellus enjoys teaching and assisting others, as is reflected in his teaching interests, including all kinds of writing but especially poetry, fiction, and drama.
