The UIS women's golf team moved up one position in the latest NCAA DII East Region Rankings, landing in 11th. 

NCAA Division II women's golf teams are divided into four regions: Central, East, West, and South. The Prairie Stars fall in the East region.

Four of the seventeen teams ranked in the East Region come from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), including No. 2 Indianapolis.

The Prairie Stars recently finished third of seven teams at the Flyer Invitational in Wheaton, Ill. There, Elaine Grant led the team by finishing third overall. Freshman Lillian Gottman was close behind in fifth place.

UIS is set to compete at the UMSL Spring Invitational in St. Louis, Mo. this weekend to close out the regular season. 

Postseason Outline
The postseason begins with the GLVC Championships on April 26-28 in Coal Valley, Ill. The Midwest Regional will be hosted at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., and the NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships are set to take place at Orange County National in Winter Haven, Fla.
