Congratulations to Dylan Thompson, who has been accepted into the School of Medicine at Southern Illinois University. Dylan is a senior majoring in Biology with a pre-medical concentration here at UIS and will start the medical doctor program this fall. As Aristotle once said, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." Dylan credits UIS's guidance and support in helping him cultivate the habits of excellence that led to his acceptance to medical school. "I'm grateful for UIS's exceptional faculty and staff, who challenged me to think critically and creatively about complex biological concepts and provided me with valuable hands-on experience. They equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in medical school and beyond," says Dylan. "I'm excited to continue learning and growing as I pursue my passion for medicine."
