The University of Illinois Springfield baseball team fell in the series finale on the road to the Drury Panthers, losing the series three games to one. The Prairie Stars fall to 20-17 overall with an 11-13 record in conference play. Drury improves to 20-15 overall with a 18-6 in GLVC play. 

GAME SUMMARY (L, 3-15)

  • DU took the lead in the first inning as a run was walked in 

  • The next Panther batter hit a 2 RBI double to take a 3-0 lead in the first

  • Drury loaded the bases again in the second inning as they scored with on a hit by pitch

  • DU scored again with an RBI single to go up 5-0

  • UIS cut into the lead in the fourth as Mack Clark smacked a two-run homer

  • Drury's lineup hit around in the fifth inning as they scored ten runs to take a 15-2 lead

  • Ivan Dahlberg hit a solo home run in the sixth 

  • Adam Lindsey (1-4) took the loss in 1.1 innings of work, giving up 5 runs
