The GLVC has announced its All-Conference honorees for the 2025 volleyball season, with two Prairie Stars represented on the Second Team. Outside hitter Makenna Cox and setter Erica Sledge both collect the second All-GLVC honors of their careers.
Senior setter Erica Sledge closed out an outstanding UIS career with 2,709 assists—the second-most in UIS's NCAA Division II era and third-most all-time. This season, Sledge produced 748 assists, 119 kills, a .311 attack percentage, 252 digs, and 35 total blocks in an expanded offensive role. Her consistency and command of the offense were central to the team's progress throughout the year.
Redshirt sophomore Makenna Cox, the team's top offensive threat, earns Second Team honors in her second season with the Prairie Stars. She finished the year with 353 kills, a .224 hitting percentage, 330 digs, 43 aces, and 417 total points, showcasing her ability to impact the match in every phase.
Tuana Yuce is the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree for UIS Volleyball. At the end of the 2025-26 year, she will be among the UIS female student-athlete candidates considered for the GLVC's overall female James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
