The UIS softball program has announced the addition of three transfers to its roster ahead of the 2025-26 school year. The incoming group features two student-athletes from the junior college level and one NCAA Division I transfer, adding talent and depth to an already experienced Prairie Stars team.

Calista Stahlhut

Sophomore | R/R | Pitcher/Utility
Previous Schools: St. Louis Community College / Roxana High School
Stahlhut brings two-way talent to UIS after an impressive season at St. Louis Community College. She batted .393 over 144 at-bats and posted a 1.15 ERA across 91 innings pitched. Her honors include:
  • NJCAA Region 16 Player of the Year
  • All-Conference
  • All-Region
  • Third Team All-American
Why UIS: "I chose UIS because it offered the perfect balance of competitive athletics, academic support, and a welcoming team culture. As a transfer softball player, I was looking for a program where I could grow both on and off the field. From the moment I connected with the coaching staff, I felt like they genuinely cared—not just about what I could do as a player, but about me as a person."

Erin Pulliam

Junior | R/R | First Base
Previous Schools: Spoon River College / Tremont High School
Pulliam joins UIS as the all-time home run leader at Spoon River College with 35 career long balls. She earned multiple accolades during her career, including:
  • 2025 First-Team All-Region
  • 2025 First-Team All-Conference
  • 2025 First-Team Academic All-American
  • 2024 Second-Team All-Conference
Why UIS: "I chose UIS because it's close to home, offers a University of Illinois degree, and has a great softball program."

Chloe Scroggins

Graduate Student | L/R | Utility
Previous Schools: SIU Carbondale / Olympia High School
Scroggins comes to UIS as a graduate student after completing her undergraduate degree at SIU Carbondale, where she earned Dean's List honors in all eight semesters and played in 57 softball games as a Saluki. At Olympia High School, she was a consistent offensive contributor and helped lead her team to two regional championships and an IHSA State Tournament appearance.
  • 2021: Hit .545 with 12 doubles, 11 RBI, and 17 runs
  • 2019: Hit .432 as the team's leadoff hitter with 52 hits, 12 doubles, and a .482 on-base percentage
  • 2018: Hit .356 with a .457 on-base percentage
Why UIS: "After my visit to Illinois Springfield, I knew this was the place I wanted to finish my softball career. The players, coaches, and staff left an incredible impression of genuine, caring, and hardworking people, and I'm beyond excited to be around them this year."

The Prairie Stars will open the 2025-26 school year with a strong mix of returners and experienced newcomers as they look to build on recent success.
